Kevin Simmons FCA CF, Treasurer
Kevin is a British Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) who qualified in 1982, and was subsequently awarded the Corporate Finance (CF) designation in 2005.
Kevin spent the whole of his career working in General Practice, at Partner level from 1989 onwards. His final position, up to retirement, was to run the Hanoi office of Mazars, a globally integrated Audit, Tax and Advisory firm, having transferred from Mazars in Manchester/Liverpool in early 2012. He had joined Mazars in 2009 upon its acquisition of Chadwick Chartered Accountants, in which he had a 25% holding.
Prior to that, he had been a Partner in Robson Rhodes , a National UK firm, from 1989 to 1996, before joining Chadwick , a Manchester and Liverpool firm where he was part of a small team which took the Practice from a 1M GBP to a 4M GBP turnover in a 10 year period.
Kevin’s professional specialism was Financial Due Diligence and over the course of his career he undertook over 250 assignments for Banks, VC’s, PE Houses and Corporates. He has also lectured, presented and trained extensively both in UK and SE Asia both in Corporate Finance and Business Development.
Kevin has held a number of honorary positions over the years which included being on the General Council and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the University of Salford for a 10 year period. He was also Hon Treasurer of the Portico Library and Newsroom, based in Manchester.
