Future Cities Trade Delegation to UAE from Europe

Dubai waterfrontCOBCOE is delegation partner for the 'Future Cities' trade delegation in Dubai 21-22 March 2017. This trade delegation will explore and provide detailed analysis of future concepts in design that facilitate ground breaking projects to be commissioned.

With our unique position representing British chambers of commerce throughout Europe to advance international trade and business, we are working with our network to bring delegates from the UK and Europe, and also with our affiliate chamber, the British Business Group Dubai and Northern Emirates, to bring delegates to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Importantly, this trade delegation is focused on individual delegates' needs and will tailor aspects of the schedule and pre-arranged meetings to ensure a targeted approach to networking and commercial outcomes for businesses and delegates attending.

Dubai is home not only to the world's tallest building, the Burjkhalifa, but also to some of the most ambitious 'smart city' projects globally. With a pledge to make 25% of all journeys in UAE driverless by 2030, Dubai is re-imagining urban mobility and the built environment. Dubai's sustainable developments, featuring 'intelligent buildings' have been described as real-time laboratories.

The 'Future Cities' trade delegation will allow businesses from across Europe to gain first-hand insight into the many opportunities created by the pace and scale of urban development in the UAE.

The trade delegation is open to urban planning, property development, architecture and engineering companies, as well as those in specialist supporting industries such as interior design. It will explore opportunities in the property sector and enable participants to learn about the futuristic concepts being brought to life in the region.

Anne-Marie Martin, COBCOE Chief Executive, said, "The sheer ambition of the region's development strategies are breathtaking. The UAE is leading the world in engineering, urban development, futuristic visitor attractions and green technology.

"At COBCOE, we are leading the way in facilitating international trade and business for our member chambers, representing 8,000 businesses throughout Europe. Partnering in this specialist trade delegation is the first of a number of initiatives where we are acting as a catalyst for international business by enabling European specialists to find opportunities in international markets. Through such a forum as 'Future Cities', companies from Europe and the UK can help provide the expertise, talent and vision needed to help bring the next generation of ground breaking projects to fruition."

The two-day programme for 21 and 22 March includes tours of the Burjkhalifa (currently the world's tallest building), the Opera House, the Expo 2020 site, Masdar City, Saadiyat Island and Habtoor City. There will also be networking opportunities with industry specialists and B2B meetings arranged with targeted businesses.

W Hotel Dubai Al Habtoor interiorDelegates are responsible for booking their own flights. The trade mission includes three nights' accommodation in at the five-star W Hotel Dubai Al Habtoor, all meals, and transfer arrangements at a total cost of  £1,571 + VAT per delegate.
