David Thomas, COBCOE Executive ChairmanCOBCOE is offering new strategic partnership positions for 2018. The aim is to join forces with corporate partners to achieve common goals and support COBCOE’s work in facilitating international trade.

COBCOE is approaching 2018 with a packed programme of thought leadership initiatives, practical business solutions and major events. We are also planning to develop our network of British chambers globally, starting with the Commonwealth.

David Thomas MBE, Executive Chairman of COBCOE, said: “We have agreed to open the organisation to high-level partnerships on an industry and service sector basis, which will give accepted partners high profile exposure through COBCOE’s activities and engage governments across Europe, including the European Commission, and governments further afield, as well as exposure to business organisations and other leading bodies.”

In thought leadership, COBCOE has this year gained considerable recognition for the publication its research report, Brexit – the Voices of European Business. This research, involving 1,000 businesses across the EU27, has been widely welcomed by governments, negotiators and media across the region. Its publication was a milestone in COBCOE’s ongoing Brexit Ambition project, launched after the Referendum to to make negotiators and politicians aware of business realities.

As a practical solution to SME business development through international trade, COBCOE has introduced a revolutionary online networking service, COBCOE Connects. By linking chambers of commerce and similar business groups online, SMEs can find trusted partners in new markets matched to their specific requirements.

At the International Business Festival 2018 (12-28 June in Liverpool), COBCOE will host a major event on the opening day, at which a senior member of the UK government will deliver a keynote address. COBCOE is the International Engagement Partner for Europe and will also be coordinating a European presence throughout the festival.

COBCOE can only accept a limited number of partners and this window of opportunity will be open for a limited period. To discuss partnership opportunities, please contact Anne-Marie Martin, Chief Executive,
