COBCOE Connects launches in Edinburgh

We are delighted to announce the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce has become the first network in Scotland to join the COBCOE Connects digital trade platform. The other 26 chambers in the Scottish Chambers network will be joining the platform throughout the remainder of this year.

Alexia Haramis, Head of Corporate & International Development at the chamber said this on joining COBCOE Connects "The Edinburgh Chamber is pleased to be the first Scottish chamber to join COBCOE Connects. Having worked for a number of years in Spain as the Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain, I can see how useful it would be to encourage Scottish businesses to make use of global contacts via the international network of British chambers. We hope that local businesses will take advantage of this innovative platform to explore the numerous business opportunities it can lead to”

The chamber unveiled COBCOE Connects today in Edinburgh, with a live presentation by Nicolas Mathieu, Stakeholder Engagement Executive of TIAO, the developers behind the platform and a speech by COBCOE CEO, Anne-Marie Martin.

In her speech, Anne-Marie highlighted how COBCOE supports international business and how Connects underpins this, stating "We have created a platform that will ease your pain, bringing together a network of potential business partners within a digital space, effective solutions providers around all those international trade needs and throwing in expert business development assistance via chamber moderators to help you through the entire business journey."

While networks are joining the COBCOE Connects platform, companies using the platform have access to matches from the Kompass global database, which in itself is a tremendous business advantage, ensuring that all searches have a positive result.
