Make Europe Work! Business Award Winners 2017 announced

Winners of the Make Europe Work! Business Awards 2017 were announced at the COBCOE Awards Dinner in London on 27 April 2017. The awards recognise achievement in strategic European trade devel opment.

The Breakthrough Trade Award was presented to ByPath, a B2B sales intelligence solution that uses Big Data to support every stage of the sales cycle. ByPath was launched in France in 2015 and last year joined the incubator run by Kompass, the leading B2B provider of data in more than 60 countries. After its first year of commercial trading, ByPath has achieved commercial success in France, Spain and the UK.

The Trade Development in European Markets Award went to ProsFit, which has developed a new system for the rapid manufacture of custom-fit lower-limb prosthetics using 3D printing technology. ProsFit was founded in 2013 in the UK and was nominated for the COBCOE award by the British Bulgarian Business Association as the company has successfully embarked in a five-year plan to export its product and expertise across Europe, working with international organisations and government bodies on prosthetic awareness programmes to help improve amputees’ quality of life.

It is COBCOE’s objective to showcase and highlight entrepreneurial drive and ambition to break through, grow and develop business with the UK’s largest global trading bloc. The Make Europe Work! Business Awards play a key role in delivering this objective.

Congratulating the winners, David Thomas MBE, Executive Chairman of COBCOE, said: The extent to which our business relationships will change as a result of Brexit remains to be seen.  At COBCOE, we are working to secure an economically stable outcome as we are committed to making Europe work for the business community. It is therefore a real pleasure to celebrate businesses that have successfully expanded across European markets.”

The guest speaker at the Gala Dinner was Max Steinberg CBE FRSA, Chief Executive of Liverpool Vision.

The event was supported by London City Airport, the Alexandrion Group, the leading drinks company from Central Eastern Europe, and AQUA Carpatica, which bottles naturally nitrate-free water from the Carpathian Mountains.
