COBCOE ACTION ON BREXIT
The members of COBCOE's Brexit Taskforce are working to make sure the voice of European business is heard by negotiators. The initiative is supported by Hogan Lovells, the international law firm, Lloyd's, the world's leading insurance market, Kompass and Today Translations.
Meeting with European Commission Task Force
Representatives of COBCOE's Brexit Taskforce led by COBCOE Executive Chairman David Thomas went to Brussels in June. They met the European Commission Task Force on Article 50 Negotiations, and highlighted the work chambers across our network have been doing to identify European business concerns around future trading relationships.

Report coming in September
Over 30 roundtable discussions will have taken place across the COBCOE network. They are identifying key business relationships to be condensed into a major report for negotiators on both sides, the press and the public.

Two UK chambers launch COBCOE Connects digital platform to members
Thames Valley Chambers Group recently unveiled its new global membership package and Herfordshire Chamber has rebranded its global services. Both are giving members access to COBCOE Connects by becoming networks on the platform.

Thames Valley Chamber is first UK COBCOE member
Following a change to the articles of association at this year's AGM, UK chambers can now join COBCOE. Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group is the first to join and the announcement will be made soon.
International Business Festival Liverpool 12-28 June 2018

Getting the message across
COBCOE Chief Executive Anne-Marie Martin was interviewed by Aaron Heslehurst on the BBC World News programme Talking Business immediately after the UK General Election in June. She spoke about the challenges that businesses may be facing across Europe.

Emerging Europe, special media partner
Anne-Marie Martin was a panellist at the EBRD-Emerging Europe: Outlook on Romania event in June, which was followed by the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce Gala Dinner. Emerging Europe interviewed Anne-Marie at the Going Global exhibition in May, where COBCOE was promoting the network of European chambers and COBOCE Connects.
